Mark Erasmus

My Name is Mark Erasmus, I have been working in the film industry since 2005. Starting off in tvc’s as standy by learning the craft from the deep end! I moved over to long form around 2008 and have stayed in this format since. I worked as a props standby on international features moving on to buying and assistant props master. I pivoted to set dressing and buying and found that the Leadman position was my strong suit which I have been doing for the past 10 years. During this time I have jnr decorated local and international productions. I have prop mastered and on set art directed projects as well.

I come from a hospitality backround where I have been food and beverage manager which allowed me to travel and work around the world experiencing different people and cultures. Then entered the film industry where I have been for 20 years.

I am able to facilitate the breakdown of scripts, budgets ,crew management and movements on small, medium and large productions. Sourcing , fabrication and project managing set decoration dress and builds both on location and studio work.

I work really well under pressure and am able to deliver products on time and cost effectiveness, with a good attitude and humour.
